10 things I found out about Word ;

1 I found that you can have a theme to your writing but I think it's only usefull when you write something on the web . To get it go to : format > theme .

2 You can create and write the address on an envelope ( usefull when writing letters ) go to tools > envelopes and labels

3 If you go to customize and then at options and select large icons to see some ugly pixelized icons. I think it's good if you are blind .

4 If you don't wanna do copy paste the link from the internet explorer ,especially when it's closed, go to insert hyperlink which also includes a recent history where you have been just like in Powerpoint.

5 On my home Powerpoint I see there are some icons that convert your file to an
Adobe PDF format

6 I discovered you can e-mail the document without saving it , opening the internet explorer etc
instead just click on an icon which says E-mail. The icon is in group with the save and open icons.

7 I discovered that by clicking insert> comment you can insert a comment like you do in powerpoint . Very useful when reviewing somebodies work and it also can be audio if you click the small tape icon.

8 I figured out that I can make my own clip-art clips and it's very easy just go to the clipart folder and click import clips . But beware a too big picture isn't really special using this feature.

9 Now i figured it out how the teachers write powers. There is an icon that says Superscript and when that is selected you can write something small above it ( E.G a number or a st ; nd ; rd ; th for dates )

10I finally found out something to make my life easier In grade 8 our teacher showed us how to set the paper for double spacing but I found out there is an icon that can do that (under add or remove buttons ) so i don't have to go to page setup etc. Altough there are really nice options there.

I found this podcast about funny voices where there is this stupid person who cries like a baby for a peanut butter sandwhich ,dumb but his voice is really funny. Link to that podcast :

Update: It's sunday now and i finished listening to that podcast .
http://www.podcast.net/search is a nice list about HDTV with news and info and it's only 1 minute again it's very helpfull for someone who doesn't understand it but for me it's preety useless except the news.
I'm listening [ and wathcing] now "ask a ninja" episodes and i have to admit they are preety cool .I allready saw 4 episodes and the good part is that it's not too long and sometimes funny and the bad thing is it has a very very annoying song in the beggining but I usually mute the computer then. I think the ninja without a mask is actually [ drumroll please ] ...Will Ferrel .

I listened to everyones presentation about their Podcast. To be honest some were really nice and funny and some were uninteresting and some didn't work. I liked Tori's podcast because it was with video and the guy was preety funny , Andrew's was awesome too with the screaming robots . I think it's preety safe to say that video podcasts can appeal to the people more than regular ones or at least add some pictures to it.

P.S : Another blog was in a Draft form and I'm just publishing it now.

I'm listening right now to Family Guy podcast . It explains an episode i haven't seen . It's so funny ! The podcaster is Fox (the network) . Now i'm listening to another episode , a longer one.It's about Peter's family history and now they talk how they do these cartoons.They're talking about character sketches now .
A half our has passed and i listened to most of the Podcast ,unfortunately it was long and boring and I lost focus.

I'm installing iTunes right now so i can listen to a podcast and do my homework.

9.Tip for preventing the font from your work from being substituted:
Click save as , then click tools in it and select "embed true type fonts" then save.

Click help ,click detect and repair and then click start to begin repairing your application.

7 .To use dual monitors or a projector (one for the presentation one for your notes ) Click Slide Show , Set Up Show , Then set up the projector>S elect note master.When done click set up show and select on which monitor or projector to display the slide show on.

6. When clicking an object or text if you want it to send you to a page that sends an email you right click the object select action settings , URL and enter the e-mail.

5. To print a PPT you Click the Windows Start Menu , Click Run and type "POWERPNT.exe/p" + add the file name you want to print .Don't forget to end it in a PPT or whatever
format you saved it in.

4 To put a shockwave movie or music in your presentation click.
View>Toolbars>Control Box>Other (it looks li0ke a hammer)> Shokwave Flash Object > A crosshair where you want the movie to appear appears and draw it
RIght click it> Properties > Custom> Set PArameters then save the presentation.

3 To change the default Font simply click on the Font tab and change it while nothing else is selected.

2To change the case of a text select the text and press Shift+F3 until you get the desired cases ( All lower, all capital , or all correct)

1 Sometimes when you want to send your presentation via e-mail the music will not play . To avoid this go toTools > Options>General tab and set the value to greater than 5000kb . Click OK. Now you can embed large audio files.

Sorry I didn't write more often . Practically what we did the last class is check other people's intecative presentations again except we also marked them. I hope I get a good mark since I invested a preety nice amount of time.

LAst time in class we checked other peoples assginments and they are really good.

Last time in class we got 2 powerpoint assignments and to my delight I am done both. To my jinx I couldn't download them from this computer . 9 i should really stop talking like this )
Okay, the webpage with links I kept it preety simple and I didn't want any fancy backgrounds or comments since I know the websites i visit. The interractive powerpoint will be nice with around 15 slides altoughtI kept the theme preety simple.

LAst time there were like 6 people in the class because they went to their parents workplace so we could use all the right type and similar stuff.I forget to write last tiem that when we save a PP presentation at home save it as a powerpoint 200 file or use the PAck and Go feature so ny computer even without powerpoint can play the slide show.

Last time we learned more about the advanced features of the powerpoint. Like saving a powerpoint file as a PPS (power point show ) so it will be easier to show people . Another awesome thing is inserting hyperlinks to another slide like theres the first slide and it says Click here to do this or click here to do that and it will send you to another slide depending on waht you click . You can do this in the Slide Show toolbar . If you save the presentation as a PPS you intend to let other people use it themselves or run alone (like the one in the library) and you can also add transition effects and timing just it isn't wise to use timed slides when doing a speech. For short there are 3 types of uses for powerpoint : 1 - speech enhancer 2- self running presentation ( no person narrating) 3- interactuve presentation like the one Mr. Case showed uswith the Zombies and Werefolf.
